How to Disable Auto Start Stop

Auto Start Stop is a feature BMW implemented lately on their cars that`s supposed to save fuel but most users just want to disable it. Why? Well mostly because it stresses the engine more than normal operation and because it is believed to be one of the main causes of premature Timing Chain failture. The good news is that it can be disabled by coding your BMW F10.

It can be done in two ways:

1. you can enable your car to remember the last setting for the start stop system

2. you can set the system to be OFF by default when starting the car so by pushing the button again you will enable it

Coding modifications needed to disable the auto start stop feature

1. Auto Start/Stop – Remember LAST Setting

3000 TC_MSA_MEMORY set to: aktiv – werte=01

2. Auto Start/Stop OFF by default

3000 TC_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF set to: aktiv – werte=01

This feature can be programmed on any BMW F10 model we tried so far, even the latest 2015 model.
